Cuebids

When the opponents bid, it can take up some of our room -- but it also enables you to use their suit for your own purposes by employing the cuebid. Most experts think cuebids are among the most important competitive tools in the game. Depending on when it comes, the cuebid can have different meanings.

This 4-part lesson will show you how to use the cuebid to show a good hand with support, to ask for a stopper in the enemy suit, or to show 2 suits of at least 5 cards (the Michaels cuebid). You'll also learn how to use other bids, like jumps in competition, to better advantage. Put cuebids in your arsenal with this lesson and watch your competitive bidding get better and better!
