Meet Our Travel Expert: Allison!
Bridge and Beyond is an all-around bridge company that does not stop at online teaching, but also organizes in-person bridge events all around the world!
For such events to be successful, we need an extra set of hands and that is where our travel expert, Allison Rudary, comes into the picture.
Allison has been a close friend of the Bridge and Beyond team for over a decade and she was the most natural fit when we asked ourselves “who would be a great travel partner”?

“When I started my bridge journey during the darkest and coldest part of winter in 2012, I had no idea how much this game would change my life! I had just ended a relationship that I began when I was a teenager and was hustling hard to rebuild my career on Wall Street in the aftermath of the global recession. Why not add one more difficult pursuit? I marched into Introduction to Bridge 101 at the old Manhattan West Bridge club, and it is not hyperbole to say that it fundamentally changed the course of my life. I made way more than just new friends - I met my spouse, lifelong friends who became family, found a new career, and of course my partners in this amazing new business. I adore the game of bridge - it’s intellectually fulfilling, I love the many types of people who are drawn to the game, and every time I sit down to play a new board, I am reminded of what a privilege it is to have this terrific game and community in my life.
So how does travel come into this? Well, I’ve always been a traveler - and I travel for a lot of reasons - to escape, to learn, to experience a different flavor of life, and to spend high quality time with important people in my life. I also love to travel for bridge! When I retired from Wall Street, I knew I’d do something else but how to spend my time and talent? I wasn’t sure how I’d translate my career in stock picking and portfolio management into something that was less financial, less corporate, and more joyful.
For me, what clinched becoming a professional travel advisor were my own travels! My husband and I had the opportunity to spend a month in East Africa that was meticulously planned by a professional and it blew my mind - travel was so much better with professional planning. I wanted to do this, and I wanted to do it for bridge. And I’ve been providing advice and counsel to clients for decades - I found a fit! Thus LTR Travel and the partnership with Bridge and Beyond was born."

I’m a Virtuoso certified travel advisor with particular expertise in cruising, gastronomy, and adventure travel.
I have an undergraduate degree from Barnard College in History and Economics, and an MBA from NYU Stern School of business.
I split my time in Redding Connecticut and Harlem with my husband Matt and our two Shetland Sheepdogs, Beatrice and Bliss. I’m an avid cook, baker, reader, and of course, I adore games - especially bridge!
